"Leave No One Behind" is the fundamental principle of the 2030 Agenda, a universal document adopted during the UN summit in New York in 2015 and embraced by 193 countries, including Romania. The 2030 Agenda promotes balance between the three dimensions of sustainable development: economic, social, and environmental. Through 17 clear and measurable goals (Sustainable Development Goals), an ambitious action agenda was established to eradicate extreme poverty, combat inequalities and injustice, and protect the planet by 2030.

More than half of the 17 Goals of the 2030 Agenda contribute to generating positive social impact and facilitating systemic changes for the benefit of all, which can mean access to quality education, healthcare services, food, housing, integration into the labor market, equity, and equal opportunities, as well as the development of vulnerable communities.
